in seven months late last week.

In morning trade, New York's main futures contract, light sweet crude
for delivery in July, was down 47 cents at 67.97 dollars a barrel. The
contract touched 70.32 dollars in intraday trade Friday, its highest
since November 4, before easing.

Brent North Sea crude for July delivery fell 45 cents to 67.89
dollars, after reaching as high as 69.91 dollars in intraday trade
Friday.
